Direction 6

Quiet

One job per screen. At most three things visible. Everything else one tap away.

What changes: directions 1 to 5 put the same content in different type and colour. Quiet puts less on the screen. Each screen answers one question (“what do I do now?”) and moves everything else behind a single text link.

Type and colour

One family, Inter: a large, light headline and 18px body text, no line longer than about 85 characters. White, ink, one grey, and one accent colour used once per screen, on the button. There are no cards, chips, tints or status colours: states are written as words (to do, handed in, changes asked for, done).

Why this could be trainrs

Most people open trainrs to do one thing: a learner to start this week's task, an admin to finish the next set-up step. Quiet shows that one thing first and nothing that competes with it, so nobody has to read a dashboard to find out what to do.

Risk: what is hidden can be missed. A task with changes asked for, or the staff board with fifty companies, needs more on screen; those screens would get their own one job rather than be squeezed into this one.
