What AI is, and what it isn’t
The assistants in this course predict likely words. That makes them fluent, quick and sometimes confidently wrong.
What it’s good at
First drafts, summaries, reorganising messy notes, suggesting options, explaining things in plain English.
What it isn’t
A search engine, a database or an expert witness. It doesn’t know your organisation unless you tell it.
Why it makes things up
It’s built to give a plausible answer, not to say “I don’t know”. Ask where each fact came from.
Where it saves time
Anything you’d normally write from scratch, read in full, or reformat by hand.
Where you stay in charge
Decisions, judgement calls, anything sent with your name on it.
