Direction 4 of 12 · Brief beside the hand-in: the brief, hours and help stay put on the left while you write on the right; on a phone they stack.

Session 3 · Task · changes asked for

Triage a week of email.

Johnnie asked for one change on Friday. The brief stays beside you while you write.

Johnnie’s note

Johnnie · Friday 29 January, 11:20amchanges asked for

Good sorting, Priya: your “act today” pile is exactly right. One change before I accept it.

The one change: Show me the rule you’d give a colleague, not just the sorted list.

Write it so someone else could sort your inbox tomorrow without asking you.

What you handed in first

Your first hand-in · Tuesday 26 January, 7:10pmchanges asked for

What I did
Gave the assistant four groups and sorted 212 emails from the week of 18 January. Checked every “act today” by hand and moved three.
My reflection
It put two complaints into “read later” because they were politely worded. Checking by hand caught them. Next time I’d tell it that tone isn’t urgency.

Kept as it was. Your next hand-in is added alongside it, never over it.

Hand in again

Your 4 hours already count. Johnnie will accept it or ask again, usually within two working days.

The AI coach

Ask the AI coach about this task

It has read the brief and Johnnie’s note. It won’t write the hand-in for you.

Ask

Try: “How do I turn my sorted list into a rule someone else could follow?”
