ICO publishes guidance on AI in recruitment and HR

The ICO has published guidance for employers using AI tools in recruitment, performance reviews and absence management: what to tell staff, when a person must check the output, and what records to keep.

Why it matters for the course
Session 8’s “Check your plan against your AI policy” uses a policy checklist that does not mention HR uses.
The any-time task “Write a job description with AI” asks for a bias check but not for the record the ICO expects.
Two January companies have HR advisers on the course.
The AI policy template in the library has no HR section.
