Claude Code adds scheduled tasks
Affects Session 7. Nobody has acted on it yet.
What changed
Claude Code can now run a saved task on a schedule: daily, weekly or on a cron line. The run works the way a typed instruction does and leaves a log you can read afterwards.

Why it matters for the course
Session 7 asks each learner to build an assistant for one recurring job and run it three times by hand.
A scheduled run is the natural next step for that job, and the first thing a manager will ask about.
The handbook task should say whether the assistant runs by itself or only when someone starts it.
The slide that says an assistant runs when you ask it to is now out of date.

Recommendation
Add one optional step to “Build your own AI assistant”: schedule the third run and paste the log. Change the slide to “runs when you ask it to, or on a schedule you set”. Hours stay the same.
