Session 3 · Task · changes asked for
Triage a week of email.
Johnnie asked for one change on Friday. Your reply below is your next hand-in.
Johnnie · Thursday 21 January, after session 3the brief
The brief
Take one real week of your inbox. Ask your AI assistant to sort it into four groups: act today, reply this week, read later, ignore.
Write down the rules you gave it, then check its sorting by hand. Hand in what you did and what you learned.
What to hand in
- How many emails, from which week
- The rules you gave the assistant
- What it got wrong, and what you changed
Worth 4 hours, counted when you hand in.

Your first hand-in
- What I did
- Gave the assistant four groups and sorted 212 emails from the week of 18 January. Checked every “act today” by hand and moved three.
- My reflection
- It put two complaints into “read later” because they were politely worded. Checking by hand caught them. Next time I’d tell it that tone isn’t urgency.

Johnnie asked for a change
Good sorting, Priya: your “act today” pile is exactly right. One change before I accept it.
Show me the rule you’d give a colleague, not just the sorted list.
Write it so someone else could sort your inbox tomorrow without asking you.

Ask the AI coach about this task
It has read the brief and Johnnie’s note. It won’t write the hand-in for you.
Try: “How do I turn my sorted list into a rule someone else could follow?”
